Caring

Prayer

In 1 Timothy 2:1, the Apostle Paul urges that ‘…requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone…’ If you’d like prayer, please let us know!

If you have a specific prayer request, let us know. Manehcester UMC has a prayer team who will lift up your need to the Lord. You do not have to be a member of our church to request a prayer.

If you have questions about our church, our beliefs, spirituality, or life in general, one of our pastors may be able to help. All conversations are confidential. If your need is urgent, call 636-394-7506 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. M-F.

A great place to begin answering God’s call to care for others is through prayer. Our prayer team receives prayer request daily via email. If you’d like to commit to faithfully praying each day, join our team.

Care

Manchester UMC has a number of ministries that offer care and support. From dealing with grief, divorce, or the loss of a job, to providing a prayer shawl, we’re here to help.

Sometimes difficult life situations come our way such as loss of a job, a serious illness, divorce, loss of a loved one, etc. The care of a professionally trained Stephen Minister may be just the support you need.

If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. GriefShare meets weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.

Unless you’ve been there, it’s hard to understand the hurt that comes from separation and divorce. We understand how you feel because we’ve been in the same place. DivorceCare meets weekly. Join any time during the series.

If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. GriefShare meets weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.

We knit beautiful shawls, bless them, and pass them on to those who need our prayers. You do not need to be a member of the church to request, or receive, a prayer shawl.

Sometimes all it takes is an encouraging word. This ministry sends messages of love and support to those on our prayer request list.  Volunteer to be part of this team.
